Silver Lake Park
Yesterday we decided to pile into the van and head to Silver Lake Park. Aiden enjoyed riding his trike around Silver Lake and looking at all the geese and ducks. Kiera spent her time in the stroller exclaiming, "DUCK!" "GOOSE!", and keeping her eye on Aiden and his trike. Of course, the downfall of riding your trike on the trail is that you can't avoid the enormous amount of goose poop! :) Aiden would occasionally yell, "AHHH, POOP!" He would then come to a complete stop and stare intently at the poop in front of his wheel. Today Aiden's job was to clean the wheels of his trike off with the hose. I don't think that there was one clean spot on those wheels. They were entirely covered in, "AHHHH, POOP!"
Kiera is getting ready to go down the slide. She surprised us the first time by standing like she is in this picture, then quickly throwing herself down, rolling onto her tummy and flying down the slide at the speed of light! If Josh wasn't at the bottom to catch her, she would have flown right off the end of the slide and into mulch!
Aiden felt very proud of himself for climbing up to the top of this big rock wall. I was feeling a little nervous the whole time because, as you can tell, the wall is about 6 feet off the ground!

so they must not have been related to the flock (ahhhh, pooping) at kohlmann park in waverly, huh? : ) good to know cuz here i thought all geese were evil. also really enjoyed the story about kiera's fearless flight down the slide.
Nope, not related. I have never seen such evil geese as those at Kohlmann park! :) The geese at Silver Lake Park are quite tame and usually gentle. They will quickly waddle out of your way as you get too close for their comfort. There is no fear of getting attacked by a wayward goose!
