All-Comers Track Meet and More!

Mr. Conehead!

Last night we went to the All-Comers track meet. It is a really cool event. It is for kids ages toddler-11 years old. They break it up into age groups. So all the boys who are 3 years old, like Aiden, run against each other. They have a 50 m run, long jump, and a 100 m run. We got there a little late, so didn't make it for the 50 m run, but we went on to the long jump instead. Then Aiden was able to run in the 100m. He was so excited to run, but also a little bit nervous. It was a whole new experience for him. He lined up on the line with about 30 other 3 year old boys and when the guy said, "Go!" He ran. He looked behind him a couple of times to see if I was coming with him, but he kept going and he was so proud of the purple ribbon he received and the smiley face drawn on his hand! Every child who participates gets a ribbon. What a great program!

Aiden attempting his first jump!

He was a little more successful his second jump! Look at that form! He looks like a pro! :)

Holding up his purple ribbon and he also had to make sure his smiley face was showing on his hand!

Kiera needed to get in on a picture too!

I threw this picture in just because it was so adorable. I made blueberry muffins the other night to go along with our supper. Naturally, the only thing Kiera really ate was the muffin. After supper, she saw that I had put the plate of muffins up on the counter. A little scowl appeared on her face and with a very determined look attempted to climb up to reach the muffins. Josh and I laughed because the look on her face as she was trying to reach those muffins was just precious. Of course, as we were laughing and running to get the camera for the perfect shot of that little determined face, she realized that what she was doing MUST be pretty funny because Mommy and Daddy were laughing so she started grinning and giggling too!
Aiden said something funny today. He is very interested in water towers and how they work. So we usually talk about it every time we see one. We have one close to our house and today as we were driving he said, "Hey Mommy, there's our water tower!" We talked about how once we would pass the water tower, we would almost be home. After a short silence, Aiden asked, "Hey Mommy, where is our juice tower?" HA!
