On Friday, August 10, 2007 Ron Weiford passed away at the age of 61. It was very unexpected, and although at this time we are not quite sure of the cause, we suspect he had a heart attack. He was a fantastic uncle to me and his other nieces and nephews , he was my aunt's treasured husband, he was a wonderful brother, he was a loving Dad and Grandpa, he was a super brother-in-law, and he was a great friend to many.
Aiden and Kiera loved him and on our trip to Chicago teased him, hid his shoes, gave him many hugs, held his hand, and just plain bothered him as he was trying to watch his news channel! :) They are very sad that he is gone and have been talking about him quite often. Aiden still has many questions that are tough to answer, though.
On our trip Ron got to see the Chicago Cubs play. He loved the Cubs. He loved Iowa State University. He loved sports in general. He loved watching ESPN. He loved the trip he just took to Alaska with my aunt and a friend. He loved travelling with my aunt. He loved watching the travel channel. He loved his trip to Washington D. C. and the history of our country. He loved history. He loved watching the history channel. He loved board games, card games, and outdoor games. He loved playing games. He loved watching game shows on T.V. He loved doing Suduko to keep his mind sharp. He loved biking and lifting weights. He loved to exercise.
Ron was an energetic and happy person. He still got excited about the little things in life even after 61 years! He was a romantic and always went above and beyond for his wife.
We all love him and will miss him so much.
