Sesame Street

About a week ago we had the pleasure of going and seeing Sesame Street Live at the Mayo Civic Center. Yep, that's right! We got to see all of the monsters on Sesame Street up close and personal! All of the favorites were there. Elmo, Cookie Monster, Big Bird, Bert and Ernie, Grover, Oscar, etc...We had great seats that were right at center stage. It was a surprisingly long show (1 1/2 hours) considering the target audience, but Aiden sat at the edge of his seat the entire time, only moving occasionally to grab a handful of popcorn. Kiera sat very still on Josh's lap pretty much until intermission. She was enthralled by the lights and all of the singing, dancing, and of course, the friendly monsters. After intermission she stood in front of us and kept moving around, but still was watching what was happening. It was a really fun show!

Before the show, we ran into Mark, Carrie, Ella, and James. We took a moment to take the kids' picture with some of the gang from Sesame Street. James decided that pictures by the monsters was not for him, so just Aiden, Ella, and Kiera are posing.

I mean, she really, really liked it!

Aiden loved clapping along with the music. He must not take after me because he actually has pretty good rhythm! :)

I think that this particular scene was for the parents. Bert comes out in his white disco suit dancing to "The Hustle." :)

At intermission, we got up to stretch our legs, and Aiden and Kiera enjoyed some very delicious cotton candy!
