Kiera's First Haircut

Kiera got her very first haircut yesterday. She was a little nervous when we first talked about it and thought it would hurt. We assured her that it wouldn't hurt at all, and in fact, she could watch Aiden get his haircut first. She intently watched Aiden get his haircut, and as soon as Aiden was getting out of the chair she was scrambling down from my arms saying, "My turn, haircut! My turn!" She excitedly climbed into the seat and let Heidi put the pretty pink cape on with the pictures of ice cream. She looked down at it and said, "MMMMM!!! Ice Cream! Me like ice cream!" She sat very still at first, watching very seriously as Heidi sprayed her hair down and combed it out. She started getting a little antsy at the end and Heidi gave her the spray bottle to squirt. Kiera got a big kick out of that, although it really didn't keep her still. In fact, she kept twisting around so she could spray different parts of the room. When she was all done, she was very excited to get a tootsie pop sucker from Heidi!

She actually got a lot of hair cut off because she had so many different layers of hair. But it is all evened out now and looks really cute! She told me, "Haircut pretty Mommy!" I had to agree!

Check out those curls in the back! I think Heidi might have taken off at least 3 inches on some parts of her hair since the top layer of hair in the back grew so much faster than the underneath layers!
