We are having a.....

We went in for our 20 week ultrasound today. Everything is looking really good and right on track for our due date of July 7. Josh really thought that we were having a girl, and I kind of was thinking boy. Who was right, you ask? Well, Josh has been referring to the little peanut as a she for quite some time, and now our poor little guy might have some sort of identity crisis! Yep! We are having a BOY! We are both super excited and, of course, my mind is racing with all of the things we can do to get ready for our little champ.

The one thing that I need to watch at this point is weight gain. I don't want to try to beat Kiera's record of 10 lbs. 15 1/2 oz. I was really doing very well until these past couple of weeks. The dr. may have mentioned something about the more weight I gain, the more weight the baby gains. :)

Time will fly by so fast now. I think that Aiden is excited about his new baby brother, but may also have some mixed feelings on it. He was saying that he wanted a brother, but now that he knows, I think it may be striking him as another boy to take his place. And Kiera really wanted a sister, so I don't know if she has quite accepted the fact that the baby is a boy. Tonight she referred to the baby as a girl and we had to correct her. I wonder how many times that is going to happen? :)

I am sure by the time the baby comes, true excitement will also come, as well as a period of adjustment. Oh my, I know that it will be an adjustment for us all!
