We were supposed to travel down to Iowa on Friday afternoon to spend Easter with our families. On Sat. we were going to see Josh's family for Easter, and we were going to spend Sunday with my family. Plans change so quickly when you have kids. Especially sick kids. Friday morning, Kiera started throwing up. Aiden was also sick, just not throwing up. Both complained of upset stomachs, so we immediately decided that we wouldn't be travelling on Friday. We thought we might possibly be able to make our trip down to Iowa on Saturday morning instead. By early Friday evening, we decided that we wouldn't be travelling on Saturday either. Neither one of the kids felt any better, and we didn't want to get anyone else sick. Or become sick ourselves halfway down! Saturday ended up being a recovery day, and by Sunday, they were feeling more like themselves. They were still tired, and still not eating normally, but definitely not sick!
We were able to get up Sunday morning to the excitement of the Easter Bunny! Aiden and Kiera were so excited to see their baskets, but more excited to find all of the eggs that the Easter Bunny hid for them around the house. We then went to the Easter Service at our church. It was packed, and we ended up sitting in the overflow area, but it was still a nice service, and the kids sat so nicely even though they couldn't see. After church we went to a really nice Easter Brunch. Then went home and the kids and Josh took really long naps.
We weren't able to see family over Easter, but we ended up having a nice, relaxing, Easter weekend. It was nice to actually go to our own church for a holiday service and not have to do any travelling! I hope everyone was able to have a healthy and happy Easter!
Aiden got a kite from the Easter Bunny too!

We set the timer on our camera to take a family picture. Kiera couldn't quite get over staring at the flashing red light enough to actually smile at it!
We saw Mark, Carrie, Ella, and James at the Easter Brunch we went to and took the opportunity to try to get a good picture of the kids together, since they all looked so nice! This is the best picture I got!
