Mall of America

A couple of weeks ago, we took a little mini vacation up to the cities. We had a really great time! The kids were super, and we all enjoyed spending time with each other. In fact, when we got back, Aiden and Kiera were missing Daddy for awhile. After spending 4 whole days with him nonstop, it was a little hard for them to go cold turkey all of a sudden when he had to go back to work! Here are some pictures from our first day. We stopped by the Mall of America and took in the Aquarium and went on some rides at the Mall of America indoor amusement park. We even had supper at the Rainforest Cafe. The kids loved it! They really enjoyed seeing the gorillas, butterflies, monkeys, and rainforest plants! The thunderstorms were fun too!

What is super cool is that you go through a tunnel and the fish, sharks, turtles, stingrays, etc....swim right over you! The kids made quite a racket exclaiming over them overhead!

Kiera thought it was pretty cool that they had the fish from Finding Nemo at the aquarium. She saw Nemo and Dorey and probably could have looked at them forever!

Petting the stingrays! Aiden would pet the stingrays, but he wasn't quite brave enough to pet the sharks. He was even quite alarmed when Josh and I each braved a quick pat to the back of a couple of the sharks!
