Little Mommy

Since Owen has been born, Kiera has been extremely interested in her baby dolls. She hugs them, kisses them, rocks them, feeds them, everything that a real Mommy would do for her baby. She tells us to be quiet because the baby is sleeping, and even covers her babies up with her favorite blankie. One day awhile back, (in August, I think), Kiera came downstairs with the boppy, and did what I happened to be doing at the time. Feeding the baby...she takes her job very seriously! :)

On a side note....I had found my Hootie and the Blowfish CD in the van and started listening to it a couple of weeks ago. Kiera really, really likes Hold My Hand so we have been listening to that song quite often. Honestly, I am getting a little tired of the song and the CD. However, I continue to play track 2 everyday as we are driving around in the van for the simple reason that I smile and get happy every time at the exact same exchange that happens between myself and Kiera. It goes something like this:

(After 3 notes of Hold My Hand): Kiera says very excitedly, "Mommy!!!! It Blootie and the Holefish!!!!"

Me: Yes it is! It is Hootie and the Blowfish.
Kiera: Oh yeah, Hootie and the Bofish.

Then she attempts to sing the song. She gets the last word in each phrase, but only after it is sung. That is until we get to the Hold my Hand chorus. Then, at the top of her little lungs she sings, "Hold my hannnnnnnnd! Hold my hannnnnnnnd!" Until the chorus is over. Then it starts all over again when the chorus repeats. It makes me giggle and she is just so happy singing this song. She also will occasionally demand that I reach back and hold her hand.

well no wonder she has no energy to care for aiden's baby when she has her own to mother.

have you introduced her to musicals yet?
